MGOM

* During the time in class , I don't really concentrate so I hardly get any work done , so when I get home I start doing some research . My ' Big Question ' has really increased in work , now that I have another topic to compare it to , it'll help me understand the real explanation on what exactly is Sleep Paralysis . I haven't shared any work with anybody so far , just keeping it to myself , but I eventually intend to share it . I plan to present my work with a compare and contrast form : Sleep Paralysis vs Locked In Syndrome .
* In my opinion , I feel like the MGOM is absolutely a great idea , we are able to learn about something were actually interested in , and I absolutely love it .

Ignite Talks

My big question is ' Why does sleep paralysis usually have you experience a demonic presence / in other words why do you only experience sleep paralysis with demonic spirits? '

So over the break , I couldn't really explore anything about my big question because I just thought about it yesterday .

One thing I learned by exploring yesterday was that people believe that sleep paralysis is actually a spiritual attack by a witch or a demon : its also known as Witch Hag Syndrome . No matter what , you will always get a feeling that something from the underworld is watching you .

The connection I can make with this course is when Dr Preston asks a question & none of us answer him , by that I mean that during sleep paralysis ; your not able to move nor speak but you can look at your surroundings , that's what Dr Preston experiences almost every day ; he looks around but gets nothing back .

One thing that I'm doing next is to Ask people that have experienced Sleep paralysis ; and jot dot their experience with it & make comparisons .

The Digital Divide

My use of technology is not helping me get ahead with my goals : in other words it's holding me back because of all the social media . Snapchat , Instagram , Facebook : you name it . When people search me up , nothing good nor bad pops up , just the usual my social media and what not , but other than that nothing impressing to get me into a high job or anything like that . High schoolers now a days let social media take over their real life , and choose their life basically .

yes I know my last post isn't an essay BUT I did say from the start analyzing was never my thing . Also , adding on to my blog since January 26 , 2017 was pretty nice to see .

The Essay ..

Analyzing has never been my thing , ever since from the start , but here goes nothing .

The essay that Dr. Preston wrote had a pretty good ' go with the flow ' type of structure , and I love go with the flow . To start off exactly how Dr. Preston felt the night before trying to put a decent essay , is how I feel right now .The fact that Dr. Preston used sayings that important people used , really added up more and more importance into his essay ."  the first thing I noticed about Ray Bradbury’s writing was his strong, visceral sense of time and place " - Dr. Preston , besides the fact that you used words that I can say more than half of us don't understand , it was in handy that you put a little key , at the end to help us out . When Montag says to Faber, “We have everything we need to be happy, but we aren’t happy." , hit me deep ,you may have too little or too much , nothing in between . One question during the Socratic seminar that I had in mind was " How would it turn out to be if the story had a flip to it , books were never burned , the bombings never happened , neither the negative , but what if it was still called " Fahrenheit 451 . " No one really looks at a book and thinks the other way . By putting real life stories helps us understand more and more about situations like the ones in the book  ." It’s in Montag’s hands. He literally takes his life into his own hands.[9] " , if it wasn't for the notes you left at the end , I wouldn't have understand what you meant by " It's in Montag's hands . " . After explaining it in deeper meaning , basically after explaining everything in deeper meaning , shows that books have way more to offer than just an on the side thang .
